On the topic of Laylatul Qadr: Imaam Shawkaanee said, “One of the great criterion of this night is that the duas of the people are accepted and this is the reason why the Messenger of Allaah (Sallalahu Alayhee Wasallam) encouraged the companions to search for this night and the great desire to attain it.” (Tuhfatudh-Dhaakireen (pg.46)
